Since conception, i've been consumed with growth. growing in the physical sense, but also growth as it pertains to relationships, career goals, monetary status, etc. Getting more is the nature of our society. But when does gain become excessive?

I've reached a very confusing point in my life. On the one hand, to not grow is to become complacent, but whore after monetary things is greed. I'm trying to find a balance. Should I become totally self-less, and give up all tangible things for the greater good?
